A Light Initiated Lucid Dream, abbreviated to LILD, is the general term for a lucid dream initiated through the use of an induction aid which flashes LED lights on and off, the most famous of which is the NovaDreamer. These usually recognise the moment at which the user reaches the REM stage of sleep. Another lucid dream induction aid that utilizes LED lights and is not discontinued, as the NovaDreamer, is the DreamMaker by Wellness Tools.
